Google Search - How to submit your sitemap?

Your Sharefox webshop comes equipped an automated sitemap which is updated regularly (sitemap.xml). However, it is important to submit your sitemap at least one time to Google to ensure that Google can efficiently crawl and index your website.

This will facilitate discovering all your pages, improve visibility in search results and lead to quicker content updates used in search rankings.

Prerequisite

You must have owner permissions for a verified property inside Google Search Console to submit your sitemap. Related article: How to set up Google Search Console

Submit the sitemap

1. Log in to your Google Search Console and select a verified site or domain

2. Go to the Sitemaps page in the left menu

   Write "sitemap.xml" after your domain and then click 'Submit'
