How it works
Access Google Search Console
Open your Search Console account. For guidance, visit Google's introduction to Search Console. Click on the Search Console link on top right to get started
Verify your site
Add your site as a new property by following instructions - choose one option (read more here):
- URL-prefix option - Can be verified fast via the HTML tag method set up in Sharefox
Domain option - This option requires DNS verification
- Submit your sitemap and using the search console
You are now ready to submit your sitemap, review your site's performance and more.

Optional: Verify your site using the HTML tag method
Acquire the verification tag
Obtain the "HTML tag" from Google Search Console for site verification. This is a short script which will be added in your site, and looks like this:

The value
{{CONTENT}}
is what is important.Insert the tag in Sharefox
Go to Sharefox Admin ➝ Settings ➝ Integrations ➝ Marketing, insert ONLY the
{{CONTENT}}
value in the "HTML tag content" input and click "Publish".Domain verification
Return to Google Search Console to finalise the verification steps.
Optional: Verify your site using the Domain method
You will see a popup that will ask you to write a DNS record in your Domain Provider system. Copy this value, add it to your Domain Provider system record and after that click 'Verify' in this popup. If you are having trouble adding it, contact your Domain Provider.
