Customising the Access Code Label
Overview
The label shown to customers for self-service access codes — by default displayed as "Access code" — can now be customised per merchant. This allows you to show the label in your store's default language or use a term that better matches your brand or access system (for example "Adgangskode" in Norwegian, or a system-specific name like "PIN" or "Gate code").
| 💡 Tip: Customising the label removes the jarring experience of seeing an English term in an otherwise fully localised storefront. |
Where the label appears
- On the customer-facing Order page in the webshop.
- On the Admin Order page for managers.
How to configure the label
The custom label is configured via the site setting Shop.Service.SSG.Authentication in Admin. Contact Support with your desired label text and they will apply it to your account. The fallback value is always "Access code" if no custom label is set.
| 📌 Note: This setting is configured per merchant and applies to all access code instances across your storefront. Contact Support to set or update your label. |
Use cases
- Norwegian, Swedish or Danish storefronts wanting the label in the local language.
- Merchants using branded or system-specific terminology for their access codes.
- Franchise operators maintaining a consistent naming convention across multiple sites.
