Activate Vipps or Swish as payment method
How to activate Vipps (and Swish) as a payment method
Vipps and Swish are both supported in Sharefox through the Nets Easy payment integration.
๐ง How it works:
Vipps and Swish are payment methods that can be enabled in Nets Easy. Once activated, they will automatically show up in your Sharefox checkout. There is no need for you to configure anything extra in Sharefox.
โ Steps to activate Vipps or Swish:
Log in to the Nets Easy portal:
Request activation of Vipps and/or Swish
Contact Nets at ecommerce-no@nets.eu and ask them to enable the payment method(s) you want.
- When enabled, reach out to Sharefox Support to activate it.
You're done!
Once activated by support, Vipps or Swish will automatically appear as payment options in your checkout.
๐ฑ Important info โ read before activating
Vipps and Swish comes with a few critical limitations that may affect your business setup:
๐ธ Deposit is not supported
If you're using deposits on your products, youโll need to remove them.
๐ณ If you have extra charges after the order, you cannot use the Vipps/Swish/Extra Charge function to charge them, but need to manually charge the amount (invoice, link, or other means)
They do not store the customer's card or payment method. That means you canโt charge the customer again unless they log in and re-enter their payment info.
๐ Customer must re-enter payment info if needed
Since the card/token isnโt stored, any changes to the order that require a new charge will need the customer to log in and complete the payment again.
๐ง TL;DR: Payment is a one-time shot. Use with caution, especially if your business relies on deposits or post-charges.
๐งช Can I test Vipps or Swish?
These methods do not have a test environment. They work only work in live environments, so they require a real mobile number and account to test it.
